Egypt Says Turnout in Third Round of Elections Was 62 Percent

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Voter turnout in the third stage of Egypt’s parliamentary elections was 62 percent, said Adel Moez Ibrahim, the head of the country’s electoral commission.

Of the 14 million people eligible to vote in the final stage of the elections, almost 8.7 million cast their ballots, he told reporters in Cairo today.
