Van Hool to Build Buses at New Plant Outside Belgium, Tijd Says

Jan. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Van Hool NV will build most of new orders for 510 buses outside of Belgium, De Tijd reported today.

Van Hool has two orders to build buses for the U.S. market and will manufacture 300 low-cost vehicles in a new manufacturing facility outside Belgium to save on labor costs, the newspaper said. The company hasn’t yet decided on the location of a new plant, it said.
