Vale Mozambique Mined 620,000 Tons Coal in 2011, Noticias Says

Jan. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Vale SA’s Mozambique unit produced 620,000 metric tons of coal by December last year, of which 140,000 tons was exported through the central port of Beira, Noticias reported, citing information from the company.

The information was presented yesterday at the company’s mine in northwestern Tete province during a visit by Prime Minister Aires Ali, the Maputo based daily said.
