Jan. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Turkey’s benchmark ISE National 100 Index swung between gains and losses, and was up 0.2 percent to 51,307.23 at the midday break in trading in Istanbul.
The following were among the active equities in the Turkish market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses.
Akbank TAS (AKBNK TI), the bank part-owned by Citigroup Inc., increased 1.7 percent to 6.02 liras. Akbank replaced chief executive Ziya Akkurt with Sabri Hakan Binbasgil, a former head of Akbank’s retail and organizational restructuring departments who was acting deputy CEO, according to an announcement to the exchange after the close yesterday.
Turk Hava Yollari AO (THYAO TI), or Turkish Airlines, rose 1.4 percent to 2.12 liras. Chairman Hamdi Topcu said the airline plans to increase its passengers to 38 million this year from 32.5 million last year, while adding as many as 25 new destinations, according to a report in Dunya newspaper.
