ECB’s Knot Says Dutch Pension Funds Have to Take Extra Measures

January 06, 2012

Jan. 5 (Bloomberg) -- European Central Bank Governing Council member Klaas Knot said more than hundred Dutch pension funds have to take extra measures as they lack sufficient funds.

“Cutting is a possible additional measure and comes into play if all other measures prove not to have worked,” Knot, who also heads the Dutch central bank, said on Dutch public television program Nieuwsuur today. “We’re talking about a few percentage points” and “it won’t be more than 7 percent.”
