Statoil Gets Consent to Conduct Manned Underwater Operations

Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Statoil ASA, ExxonMobil Corp. and Gassco AS were granted consent to conduct manned underwater operations this year, Norway’s Petroleum Safety Authority said in an e-mailed statement today.

Statoil chose to take out an additional two-year option on the existing contract for diving services with Technip Norge AS and ExxonMobil and Gassco could also be potential users of this contract, the PSA said, citing a cooperation agreement.
