Jan. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close of trading.
The IPC index was little changed at 37,387.63
Mexico’s consumer confidence index may have climbed to 92.5 in December from 89.5 the previous month, economists surveyed by Bloomberg forecast before a report due Jan. 6.
Grupo Elektra SA (ELEKTRA* MM), the retail and banking company controlled by billionaire Ricardo Salinas, rose 0.6 percent to 1,425.82 pesos. Desarrolladora Homex SAB (HOMEX* MM), Mexico’s largest homebuilder, rose 3 percent to 40.67 pesos.
Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste SAB (ASURB MM), the operator of airports in southern Mexico, rose 2.8 percent to 80.06 pesos. Passenger traffic increased 15.3 percent in December from the same month last year, the company said today in a statement.
