Jan. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4 p.m. local time.
The IGBC Index rose 0.6 percent to 12,735.77, while the Colcap Index rose 0.4 percent to 1,577.71. Colombian markets were closed Dec. 30 for the year-end holiday.
Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Bogota SA (ETB CB), the phone company serving Colombia’s capital, fell 0.4 percent to 475 pesos. ETB, as the company is known, called for an extraordinary shareholder’s meeting Jan. 11, according to a filing on the regulator’s website.
Colombian banks saw profit rise 20 percent in the first eleven months of the year to 4.12 trillion pesos ($2.1 billion) from 3.43 trillion pesos a year earlier, according to data released Dec. 29 by the financial regulator.
Banco de Bogota SA (BOGOTA CB), the nation’s second-biggest lender, jumped 1.8 percent to 49,900 pesos.
