Dec. 30 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa posted a budget deficit of 28.6 billion rand ($3.53 billion) in November, the National Treasury said.
Government revenue was 50.8 billion rand last month, while spending reached 79.4 billion rand, the Pretoria-based Treasury said in a statement on its website today.
The budget deficit for the first eight months of the fiscal year widened to 142.2 billion rand from 135 billion rand in the same period a year ago, according to the statement.
