France Says Two of Its Soldiers Killed in Afghanistan

Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Two French soldiers were killed by “deliberate” shots from a member of the Afghan National Army, the office of French President Nicolas Sarkozy said.

The incident happened in the Tagab valley and the victims were engineers from a Foreign Legion regiment, the e-mailed statement said. It didn’t provide further details about the incident.
