ECB’s Draghi Says Euro Currency Has Become Symbol of Europe

Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) -- European Central Bank President Mario Draghi said the euro has become a symbol of Europe.

“A total of 17 member states and 332 million people now use the currency,” Draghi said on the ECB’s website, marking the tenth anniversary of the introduction of euro bank notes and coins. “It has become a symbol of Europe, and the banknotes and coins have become a part of our daily lives.”
