Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech Republic’s PX stock index rose 0.1 percent to 905.9 at the close in Prague, paring this year’s losses to 26 percent.
The following were among the most active equities on the Prague Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
AAA Auto Group NV (AAA CP) advanced 1.8 percent to 17.53 koruna, the second-best performance in the PX gauge today. The Czech chain of used-car dealerships said it bought CarWay Assistance CZ, CarWay Group and CarWay Rent CZ to expand its business.
New World Resources Plc (NWR CP), the biggest Czech coking- coal producer, slipped 0.8 percent to 134.3 koruna, extending its declines in 2011 to 50 percent. Benchmark European coal futures contracts dropped 0.7 percent to $113.7 a metric ton in the Netherlands yesterday.
