Brazil Meat-Industry May Limit Corn Stockpiles, Rabobank Says

December 29, 2011

Dec. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil’s growing meat industry may limit corn stockpiles through 2015, Rabobank analysts said in a report today. Inventories of the grain may be as low as 2 million metric tons in 2015, according to the report. Prices will need to average about $6.35 a bushel at ports near Paranagua to spur farmers to produce more corn, Rabobank said.
