Dec. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 4:10 p.m. Lima time.
The Lima General Index fell 0.7 percent to 19,268.55. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index slid 1.5 percent to 2,478.65.
Mining and industrial stocks slumped after commodities declined in New York and London, said Daniel Romero, an analyst at Lima-based investment fund NC&F Inversiones SA.
Rio Cristal Resources Corp. (RCZ PE), a Canadian exploration company, fell 10 percent to 9 cents. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), the Canadian mining exploration company with operations in Peru, dropped 6.1 percent to 93 cents. Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca SA (POMALCC1 PE), a sugar producer, slid 4 percent to 48 centimos after futures declined in New York. Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, fell 3.2 percent to $37.75 after opponents to its Minas Conga gold project said they plan protests Jan. 2. Maple Energy Plc (MPLE PE), the oil and natural gas producer with operations in Peru, dropped 1.8 percent to $1.08 after crude declined in New York.
