McArthur River Mine Unaffected by Australian Flood, Xstrata Says

Dec. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Xstrata Plc said its McArthur River zinc, lead and silver mine in Australia’s Northern Territory “remains unaffected by flooding caused by” the Ex-tropical Cyclone Grant. “Production for the month is continuing as planned,” Fran Rossberg, a spokesperson for the Xstrata Zinc unit said in an e-mailed response to questions today.
