Aussie Dollar Slips to 1-Week Low Versus Yen Amid Europe Concern

Dec. 29 (Bloomberg) -- The Australian dollar declined to the lowest level in more than a week against its Japanese counterpart as concern increased that Europe’s debt crisis may deepen, damping demand for higher-yielding assets.

The so-called Aussie fell as much as 0.2 percent from yesterday to 78.52 yen before trading at 78.55 at 10:34 a.m. in Sydney.
