Dec. 23 (Bloomberg) -- The European Central Bank said banks in the euro area deposited more money with it overnight.

Financial institutions parked 347 billion euros with the Frankfurt-based ECB, up from 265 billion euros on the previous day. Banks borrowed 6.3 billion euros in emergency overnight funds, down from 7.5 billion a day earlier.
