Philips to Trade Patent Licenses on Exchange, Telegraaf Says

Dec. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Royal Philips Electronics NV plans to trade licenses on some of the 55,000 patents it holds on the Chicago-based Intellectual Property Exchange, De Telegraaf reported, citing Chief Executive Officer Frans van Houten.
Philips and three other companies provided $10 million in funding to the exchange, founded by Gerard Pannekoek, the Dutch newspaper reported today.
