Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Bogota trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 4 p.m. local time.
The IGBC Index gained 1.3 percent to 12,647.34, while the Colcap Index rose 1.2 percent to 1,579.47.
Fabricato SA (FABRI CB), Colombia’s biggest textile maker, climbed 1.9 percent to 82 pesos. Colombia’s industrial production rose 5 percent in October from a year earlier, the state-run statistics agency said on its website yesterday. Economists had forecast a 4.3 percent increase, according to the median estimate of 13 analysts surveyed by Bloomberg.
Interconexion Electrica SA (ISA CB), a Colombian energy and roadway company, rose 1.4 percent to 11,420 pesos. The company said yesterday that it completed a $211 million purchase of the remaining 40 percent of Intervial Chile SA that it didn’t already own. Intervial controls five highway concessions in that country.
Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (PREC CB), the Toronto-based oil producer that operates fields in Colombia, rose 1.5 percent to 35,400 pesos. Chief Executive Officer Ronald Pantin told the daily Portafolio that the company expects to end the year with production of 250,000 barrels a day, 85 percent success in exploration and Ebitda of about $2 billion. Ebitda is earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization.
