Dec. 20 (Bloomberg) -- EBS Ltd. Executive Director Emer Finnan resigned from the Dublin-based lender today with immediate effect “to pursue other opportunities,” a spokesman for EBS said by phone.
Allied Irish, also based in Dublin, was ordered in March by the government to take over fellow state-owned EBS Ltd. The accord was completed in July.
The EBS spokesman, who declined to be named, said Finnan was not available for comment. The move was communicated today in an internal memo, he said.
Finnan became an executive director at EBS in 2007 and took over as finance director in 2010, before the merger.
