Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Ecopetrol SA, Colombia’s largest oil company, said it will begin operating two fields now run by Petroleo Brasileiro SA as of Jan. 1.
Bogota-based Ecopetrol will begin operating the Yaguara and Rio Ceibas fields that together produce about 4,790 barrels of oil a day in southern Colombia, according to an e-mailed statement from the state-run company. The fields also produce natural gas.
