Peru Stocks: Buenaventura, Candente, Ferreyros, Panoro, Rio Alto

Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 1 p.m. New York time.

The Lima General Index rose for a second session, gaining 0.3 percent to 19,445.13. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index climbed 0.9 percent to 2,496.98.

Mining and industrial stocks gained as both U.S. equities and metals prices advanced, said Edwin Paz, a Lima-based trader with Provalor SAB.

Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, rose 5.6 percent to 38 cents. Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, climbed 3.1 percent to $1.01. Cia. de Minas Buenaventura SAA (BVN PE), the country’s biggest precious-metals miner, gained for a third day, adding 3 percent to $39.40 after the government lifted a state of emergency in the northern Andes after protests ended at its Minas Conga project. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold exploration company, advanced 2.2 percent to $3.19. Ferreyros SA (FERREYC1 PE), the Lima-based distributor for Caterpillar Inc., rose 1.3 percent to 2.33 soles.
