Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Olam International Ltd. won a bid to supply 50,000 metric tons of wheat to Bangladesh in a tender, a government official said today.
Olam will supply the grain at $281.09 a ton, Nurul Karim, joint secretary of Bangladesh’s Cabinet Division, said. The Singapore-based trader was the lowest bidder among nine traders, which participated in an import tender issued by the state-run Directorate General of Food, he said.
