Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- European Central Bank Executive Board member Lorenzo Bini Smaghi said the outlook for the global economy is not improving.
“Post-crisis, the world is not looking any better than the pre-crisis world,” Bini Smaghi said at an event in Rome today. “There’s a risk of trade barriers returning, there’s a risk of currency wars.”
Bini Smaghi added that if the euro crisis continued, emerging economies would also begin to suffer.
