Bayer $750 Million Accord in Modified Rice Case Now Binding

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- A Bayer AG unit said its $750 million settlement with farmers over modified rice is binding now that the requisite number of growers have accepted the deal.

The farmers sued claiming an altered strain of rice had tainted their crops.
