Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- VimpelCom Ltd., a mobile-phone operator with more than 200 million subscribers worldwide, said it appointed Anton Kudryashov as the head of its Russian unit, according to a regulatory filing.

Kudryashov stepped down as chief executive of Russian television network CTC Media Inc., according to a separate statement today.
