Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Syria’s parliament approved a 2012 budget that includes government spending of 1.33 trillion pounds ($25 billion), an increase of 59 percent from this year, the official Syrian Arab News Agency said.
The budget includes 386 billion pounds for subsidies, including those for energy, and for social and agricultural aid, SANA said. Details of the budget were disclosed Sept. 26.
