Lockheed Gets $4 Billion F-35 Contract for Fifth Lot of Jets

Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Lockheed Martin Corp. received a $4 billion order from the U.S. Defense Department for 30 F-35 Joint Strike Fighter jets, the Pentagon said in a contract announcement today.

The order is the fifth trial production lot and includes 21 Air Force model jets, 6 Navy carrier airplanes and 3 Marine Corps short-take off versions, the Pentagon said in the statement.
