Hungary Lenders to Get Bank-Tax Break for Loan Burden-Sharing

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- Hungary’s commercial lenders will be able be write off the extra burden they take on in foreign- currency mortgages from the extraordinary bank tax, Economy Minister Gyorgy Matolcsy said today in Budapest.

The government will also cut the bank tax level by 50 percent starting in 2013, Matolcsy said.
