Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- The euro pared an advance against the dollar, trading little changed at $1.2992 at 9:06 a.m. London time, after strengthening as much as 0.4 percent to $1.3039.

The 17-nation common currency erased an 0.3 percent gain versus the yen to trade little changed at 101.39.
