Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- EDP-Energias de Portugal SA, Portugal’s biggest utility, said it has started construction of the Santo Antonio do Jari hydropower plant in Brazil.
The project will involve an investment of about 575 million euros and the plant will have installed capacity of 373.4 megawatts, Lisbon-based EDP said today in an e-mailed statement.
