Czech Stocks: Central European Media, CEZ Are Active in Prague

Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech Republic’s PX stock index retreated 0.3 percent to 851.3 at 12:05 p.m. in Prague.

The following were among the most active equities on the Prague Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.

Central European Media Enterprises Ltd. (CETV CP) fell a second day, retreating 1.6 to 142.1 koruna in Prague. The broadcaster is “catching up with losses from the yesterday’s close in the U.S. where it was dragged down by the market,” said J&T analyst Pavel Ryska by phone. The company’s U.S.-traded shares plunged 6.1 percent yesterday.

CEZ AS (CEZ CP), the country’s biggest power producer, declined a second day, sliding 0.4 percent to 747.16 koruna. Electricity for next-year delivery in Germany, where the company exports part of its output, fell for a fourth day.
