Dec. 15 (Bloomberg) -- China’s liquefied natural gas imports are forecast to rise 30 percent to a record high next year to satisfy the country’s growing demand for electricity, Mirae Asset Securities Ltd. said in a report today.
China is set to import about 13 million metric tons of LNG through the end of the current year, according to Mirae, which expects China to sign more long-term deals with Australia, Indonesia, Qatar and Malaysia to buy natural gas.
