Peru Stocks: Candente, Panoro, Rio Alto, Southern Copper, Volcan

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 11:26 a.m. local time.

The Lima General Index fell for a sixth session, declining 1 percent to 19,383.38. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index dropped 1.4 percent to 2,460.84.

Mining shares slumped as metals declined in New York and London, said Hernando Pastor, an analyst at Lima-based Kallpa Securities SAB.

Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, fell for a fourth day, losing 5.1 percent to 94 cents. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold exploration company, dropped 4.6 percent to $3.10. Southern Copper Corp. (SCCO PE), the country’s biggest producer of the metal, declined 3.6 percent to $28.54. Volcan Cia. Minera SAA (VOLCABC1 PE), a copper and zinc producer, slid 3 percent to 2.93 soles. Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, fell 2.7 percent to 36 cents.
