Olympus Ex-CEO Woodford Says Company Should Remain Independent

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Former Olympus Corp. Chief Executive Officer Michael Woodford said the company should stay independent.

Olympus doesn’t need alliance because it risks a takeover, Woodford said in a website interview in Tokyo today. The company needs capital injection and should invest more in research and development, he added.
