Italian Five-Year Notes Stay Higher After Nation Sells Debt

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Italian government securities stayed higher as the nation sold five-year notes at an average yield of 6.47 percent.

Italian five-year yields were 14 basis points lower at 6.65 percent at 10:15 a.m. in London. Two-year rates fell three basis points to 5.64 percent and 10-year yields were also three basis points lower at 6.65 percent.

The Italian government sold 3 billion euros ($3.9 billion) of 4.75 percent bonds due 2016, the Bank of Italy said.
