Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Sao Paulo trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 11:59 a.m. local time. Preferred shares are usually the most-traded class of stock.
The Bovespa Index dropped 0.5 percent to 57,188.49.
Hypermarcas SA (HYPE3 BS) fell 1.3 percent to 8.24 reais. The company’s outlook was revised to negative from stable by Standard & Poor’s. S&P affirmed the “BB-” long-term global- scale corporate credit rating.
Lupatech SA (LUPA3 BS) slumped 4.5 percent to 4.49 reais. Brazil’s biggest provider of oil equipment and services called a bondholders meeting for Dec. 29 to decide on a waiver for debenture obligation, according to a regulatory filing. In a separate statement, the company said 63 percent of holders of perpetual bonds approved yesterday the sale of its Steelinject unit.
Telemar Norte Leste SA (TMAR5 BS) slid 0.6 percent to 49.70 reais. Brazil’s biggest fixed-line phone company was lowered to “hold” from “buy” at Deutsche Bank AG.
