Brazil Denies It May Cut Locally-Made Car Tax to Boost Economy

Dec. 14 (Bloomberg) -- Brazil’s Finance Minister Guido Mantega denied the government may cut taxes on locally-made cars to boost the economy, in comments posted on its website.

Guilherme Barros, a columnist at Sao Paulo-based news website IG, reported yesterday the government would announce the new measure in coming days, without saying where he obtained the information.
