Barclays Wealth Unit Names JPMorgan’s Danowsky Managing Director

Dec. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Barclays Plc’s wealth-management unit hired Joseph Danowsky from JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a managing director and head of solutions for the Americas.

Danowsky will oversee “solutions on stock-related holdings to high net worth individuals as well as corporations, venture capital, and private-equity funds,” Barclays said today in a statement. He will be based in New York and report to Paul Morton, head of capital markets, operating platforms and business strategy for Barclays Wealth in the Americas.

Danowsky worked in a similar role for the past three years at JPMorgan Securities, according to the statement from London- based Barclays.
