ECB Says Banks’ Overnight Deposits Increased to 18-Month High

Dec. 12 (Bloomberg) -- The European Central Bank said financial institutions in the euro area increased overnight deposits with it to the highest level in 18 months.

Banks parked 334.9 billion euros ($445.6 billion) with the Frankfurt-based ECB, up from 310 billion euros the previous day and the most since June 14, 2010. Banks borrowed 7.4 billion euros, down from 8 billion euros a day earlier.
