Dec. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Turkish Energy Minister Taner Yildiz said Turkey will start oil and gas exploration in Famagusta on Northern Cyprus within two months, NTV reported.
Turkey, which has been looking for oil and gas in the eastern Mediterranean off the divided island, will merge its water and land explorations in Northern Cyprus, Yildiz said in televised comments today. He said Turkey will start drilling as it reviews results from seismic studies.
