Venizelos Says Greek Swap Talks to Be Held in Athens Next Week

Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Greece will next week hold talks with representatives of private sector creditors on the details of a bond swap aimed at reducing Greece’s debt by 100 billion euros, Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said.

The talks on the debt swap, which was agreed at an Oct. 26 European Union leaders’ summit in Brussels, will begin on Dec. 12 in Athens, Venizelos told lawmakers in comments televised live on state-run Vouli TV.
