Dec. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Taiwan trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are at 9:38 a.m. in Taipei.
The Taiex Index rose 0.8 percent to 7,012.70, set for the first advance in four days.
Advanced Semiconductor Engineering Inc. (2311 TT) increased 1.5 percent to NT$27.95. Unit ASE Test Inc. plans to invest $60 million in ASE (Kunshan) Inc. in China, Advanced Semiconductor said in a statement to the local stock exchange yesterday.
HTC Corp. (2498 TT) lost 1 percent to NT$453.50. November sales dropped 18 percent from a year earlier to NT$30.8 billion from a year earlier, the company reported to the exchange.
Silitech Technology Corp. (3311 TT) advanced 2.1 percent to NT$76.60. November sales rose 19 percent from a year earlier to NT$619.6 million, the company said in a statement to the Taiwan Stock Exchange yesterday.
