Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- State Oil Co. of Azerbaijan asked for proposals to conduct a feasibility study for the Azerbaijan- Georgia-Romania Interconnector project to ship liquefied natural gas to Europe.
Socar, as the national energy producer is known, set Jan. 19, 2012, as the deadline for submissions, according to an announcement on the Baku-based company’s website.
Socar’s partners in the project are the Georgian Oil and Gas Corp., MVM Zrt., Hungary’s government-owned power wholesaler, and Romania’s SNGN Romgaz SA.
