Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- Netflix Inc. Chief Executive Officer Reed Hastings said half of home-video viewing will come through the Internet by 2016, aided by expanding fiber-optic networks that can carry the data.
HBO Go, the Web-based service offered by Time Warner Inc., is emerging as the top competitor to Los Gatos, California-based Netflix, Hastings said today at a UBS media conference in New York.
