Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd. hired Arturo de Pena as head of loan sales and trading in the syndicated loan capital markets group.
He reports to Chris O’Neill, BTMU’s group head of syndications in the investment banking division for the Americas, which is headed by general manager Taiju Hisai, according to a statement distributed by Business Wire yesterday.
“Art’s client focus, broad experience and strategic thinking will contribute greatly to the continued growth of our syndications franchise,” O’Neill said in the statement.
De Pena previously worked at Citadel LLC’s securities unit. Before that he worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc where he was head of loan sales and trading for the Americas, according to the release.
De Pena didn’t immediately return a telephone call to his cell phone seeking comment. O’Neill also didn’t immediately return a telephone call.
