U.S. Stocks Extend Gain on Report EU Plans to Boost Bailout Fund

Dec. 6 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks extended gains after the Financial Times reported that the European Union was in talks to double the size of its rescue fund.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index climbed 0.4 percent to 1,262.09 at 2:40 p.m. in New York.
