EPA Partially Approves Petition on Fracking Chemicals

Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- The Environmental Protection Agency said it will begin rulemaking to gather information on chemicals in hydraulic-fracturing fluids used to extract natural gas from shale.

The agency said in a letter posted today on its website that it partially approved a petition by environmental groups seeking disclosure of the chemicals.
