Emerging Markets Likely to See ‘Decoupling,’ Stiglitz Says

Nov. 30 (Bloomberg) -- Emerging markets are likely to see a “decoupling,” continuing rapid growth in the post-crisis period despite sluggish expansion in developed nations, Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel Prize-winning economist and a professor at Columbia University, said in Beijing.

China’s growth will support emerging markets and resource- rich economies, he said. It will help industrialized nations although it’s unlikely to be able to lead them out of their difficulties, he said.
