Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim bought a 3.23 percent stake in Promotora de Informaciones SA, Spain’s biggest media company, according to a person with direct knowledge of the matter who asked not to be identified because the information isn’t public. The stake has a market value of about 22 million euros ($30 million).
Prisa declined to comment. Arturo Elias, a spokesman for Slim, didn’t immediately return an e-mail message, and no one answered calls to his office before normal business hours in Mexico City.
